Emma Velo Castro


Graduated in Communication Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela in the Audiovisual specialty with a Master’s in Marketing and Communication from the Camilo José Cela University of Madrid, postgraduate degrees in Communication and Political Information and Communication and Environmental Information. Professor of Written Communication and Communication Skills at the Center for University Studies of Galicia (CESUGA). PhD student in the Psychology of Development, Learning and Health program at the University of A Coruña.

My research interest is focused on the social psychology of consumption and its relationship with the environment and communication, as well as on the research line of health psychology associated with polluting consumption patterns and its relationship with communicative persuasion. My thesis studies the health psychology of sustainable clothing consumption in fast fashion stores and makes a communication intervention proposal to promote knowledge about healthy clothing consumption.
