As a partner of 2OC consortium, led by Maastricht University (UM), the People-Environment Research Group of the University of A Coruna (Spain) proposes a digital one-stop-shop aiming at bringing cities, public institutions, businesses, innovators, entrepreneurs, knowledge centres, citizens, financial investors together to collaborate on creating multiple value for future generations as well to achieve EU Green Deal ambitions. 2OC offers a unified systemic repository of climate action plans, an open-source framework for deploying Climate Data Hubs with digital enablers such as AI and Internet of Things, customizable and co-created climate city contracts. We take an Action Now! approach and roll out existing European R&I and social innovations, supported with thousands of sustainability experts from 2OC partners from the very start by enabling more than 500 cities in their climate neutrality journeys. 2OC aims to lay the foundations and implementation of a holistic Climate Neutrality and Social Innovation platform fully in line with the European Green Deal targets. 2OC consortium and its value propositions are built bottom up and inclusively together with the People-Environment Research Group of the University of A Coruna, by 57 partners comprising 23 Research & Technology Organizations, 16 SMEs & Industry, 5 Public Entities, 14 networks and ecosystems representing a true European collaboration across 20 Member and associated states for impact. After 30 years since the Maastricht Treaty, there is no better city to start setting the sustainability foundations for the EU than Maastricht, the birthplace of the EU’s economic foundations.
